How do you change upper & lower ball joints on a 2001 4x4 dodge ram?

also, what is with transmisions in these years of trucks? it shifts funny. it shifts up %26amp; down real fast on take off. they are just different shifting trannies than what i'm use to.How do you change upper %26amp; lower ball joints on a 2001 4x4 dodge ram?german engineering, balls are alway 's hard to change. take the right tools every time .but it happens every day . dodges don't use a very good set they seem to wear out too fast.
