The top of my toyota ball joint squirts out some lubricant when i hit a big dip. since its leaking...?

do i have to replace the whole ball joint or is there a way to refill it with lubricant. i heard it should be lubricated at every oil change. isnt there something about them being sealed or not? how much would it cost to replace one ball joint? parts and labor. thanks! The top of my toyota ball joint squirts out some lubricant when i hit a big dip. since its leaking...?Most ball joints are %26quot;lifetime lubricated and should be sealed if they don't have a grease fitting on them. But there's a catch-the lube is good for the life of the joint, NOT the car-go figure. If the boots torn, its probably at the end of its life also. THAT being said, there are a couple of aftermarket suppliers of parts(Dorman is one) that make all shapes and sizes of boots to replace over the ball joint. But as a Tech, I can't see why you'd go to the trouble to replace the boot when replacing the joint is almost as much work...........
